You don’t always have to pull out our the bells and whistles. Sometimes understated, basic and clean is the best way to go. Certainly is for me. Although this is just a basic grey dress. The details set it apart. The uneven hem which is longer at the back and curved is incredibly flattering. The ribbed cotton fabric hugs all the right places and is just thick enough that it doesn’t show all your bits. And my favourite part- the thumbholes! Why don’t these exist on more things?! So cool, casual and just really interesting detail that you don’t normally see on dresses.
Of course, if this dress came in other colours- I would have bought them all. Unfortunately- it only comes in this one. I was in NYC for Fashion Market this week and on my walk back to my hotel I passed by the H&M in Times Square. I peaked in, mostly to use their wifi (shhhhhh) and spotted this dress. Given that it was the most touristy part of town I wasn’t about to venture towards the dressing room line. So as usually, I gambled. And although I never win in Vegas when I gamble- I have really good luck in fashion.
